Max Vertappen becomes FIA Formula 1® Drivers' World Champion 2024 with an experienced drive at the FORMULA 1 LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2024.
The Dutchman went into the race weekend knowing that he would secure the title if he finished above Lando Norris at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit. And that's exactly what he did, finishing the race in P5 ahead of Norris in P6. Verstappen battled hard throughout the race and got as high as P2 but knew that finishing ahead of Norris would be enough to secure his fourth FIA formula 1® Drivers' World Championshop. He held his position and crossed the chequered flag to spark huge celebrations amongst the Oracle Red Bull Racing team.

Verstappen kämpfte das ganze Rennen über hart und kam bis auf P2 vor, wusste aber, dass es ausreichen würde, vor Norris zu landen, um seinen vierten FIA Formel 1®-Fahrer-Weltmeistertitel zu holen. Er hielt seine Position und überquerte die Zielflagge, was beim Oracle Red Bull Racing Team riesigen Jubel auslöste.
