Piastri started the race in P2 and produced an impressive drive to claim his fifth victory as a Formula 1® driver. His victory made him the first driver to win consecutive races this season and took him to the top of the FIA Formula 1® Driver's Standings. He is the first Australian since Mark Webber in 2010 to lead the FIA Formula 1® Driver's World Championship.
