Merryweather accompanied fellow fairies Flora and Fauna to greet the newborn Princess Aurora, intending to give the baby a gift. Merryweather's gift-giving was interrupted when Maleficent appeared. Merryweather joined Flora and Fauna in secretly raising Aurora to protect her from Maleficent. She would often turn Aurora's clothes blue, irritating Flora.
